My Story

My love of children's literature began as a young child, reading with my mom. This love never stops growing! It is accentuated by my 13+ years teaching, and continues to flourish.

Amidst my teaching career and time in graduate school, it became clear to me that I must write picture books for children. Now, I am lucky to be able to pursue this dream daily. I've experienced the magic of stories with my students and children and am passionate in my commitment to making my own magic.

I'm a member of Julie Hedlund's 12x12 Picture Book challenge and seeking representation.
